I grew up in a loving, close family in the Sierra Nevada Foothills in the constant company of three siblings, a cow, a horse, chickens and geese. My mother was a devoted gardener and cook and my father worked with students on social and environmental issues.
I graduated nursing school in 2006 and worked at Mills Peninsula Hospital as a nurse in Labor and Delivery and Mom/Baby (postpartum). My California RN license is current and active and I am certified in Pediatric/Infant CPR and First Aid.
I have two children. My son Jaydon, age 14, has asthma and my daughter Nina, age 10, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes six years ago. The experience of caring for Jaydon and Nina inspired me to use my nursing skills to help families who have children with medical conditions and need childcare.
I developed Baby Steps to provide a safe, clean environment for children with or without medical needs, where they are competently cared for with patience and love.
